- "abandon" has 7 letters, but the first three, **"aba"**, already identify it, because **"ab"** also begins 9 other words, among them [ability](/bip39-word/ability/), [able](/bip39-word/able/), [about](/bip39-word/about/) and [above](/bip39-word/above/).
